On Thursday, April 14, longtime Prime Policy Group client, Dunkin Brands, celebrated the opening of a combination Baskin Robbins and Dunkin' Donuts store inside the Longworth House Office Building in Washington, DC. Dunkin Brands President and CEO Nigel Travis traveled to Washington for the grand opening ceremony with other company officials including Karen Raskopf, Jeff Miller, Scott Murphy and Mike Shutley. Prime was represented by Chuck Merin, Erin Dorton, Chester DiBari III, Owen Taylor and Mitch Vakerics. The event included speeches from Travis and Minority Whip Steny Hoyer. Other attendees were Rep. Peter King, Rep. Jeff Denham, Rep. Joe Kennedy III, former Rep. Phil Gingrey and staff were all in attendance. The industry was also represented by two other longtime Prime clients, the National Restaurant Association and the International Franchise Association. This week Dunkin Brands also welcomed franchisees from across the country to meet with their Representatives on Capitol Hill to discuss important tax and labor issues.
