On July 18, Prime's John Tanner attended a special meeting, as former President of the NATO Parliamentary Association (PA), to mark the Assembly’s 60th Anniversary in Paris, France. While serving in Congress, John Tanner was elected by legislators from all 26 NATO member nations to serve as President of the NATO PA in 2008 for two years. NATO PA is made up of members of parliament from across the Atlantic Alliance, including the United States, who serve as an essential link between NATO and the parliaments of the NATO Nations.
