Andrew Terp is a Director at Prime Policy Group. He spent a decade in Washington working to enact policy on Capitol Hill, serving in both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives prior to joining Prime Policy Group. Andrew worked closely on energy, environment, transportation, and trade issues during Senator Todd Young’s (R-IN) tenure in both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.
Beginning his career on Capitol Hill working for then-Representative Todd Young of Indiana, Andrew oversaw the Representative’s legislative priorities across issues ranging from agriculture, energy, environment, defense, transportation, and trade. He served in Rep. Young’s office for six years, including the Congressman’s tenure on the powerful House Ways and Means Committee. Andrew advised the Congressman on trade policy when Committee passed landmarks trade bills including the Bipartisan Congressional Trade Priorities and Accountability Act of 2015 and the Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act.
Following the 2016 election, Andrew moved across the Capitol to the U.S. Senate where he served as a senior policy advisor to Senator Young. He directed the Senator’s trade and transportation portfolios on the Senate Finance Committee and the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. During this time, Andrew also helped secure passage of the Federal Aviation Administration Reauthorization Act.
A native of Indiana, Andrew earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University and currently resides in Washington, DC.
